Social Skills Support

The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) is an evidence-based, intervention program that helps improve social skills for interested individuals who want to learn strategies on initiating social interactions and developing friendships. A supportive parent/legal guardian/coach must be willing to participate and be consistently engaged in each week’s lesson.

PEERS® was originally created by Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson at UCLA. PEERS® research has shown that individuals who have social skills challenges have made positive gains from this program.

The PEERS® program will take place in Richmond, BC and consists of one information session followed by 16 weeks of in-person sessions. The group will be led by qualified practitioners and co-leaders: Judith Magrill and Lynn Savoie

Registraton is open and a wait list will be started. Ten committed individuals will be needed for each group. Participants will be organized based on their age range, communication skill and cognitive level. To register, or if you have any questions, please contact: Judith Magrill, PhD., R. Psych. at judithmagrill@shaw.ca
